Waikoropupu Springs (Pupu Springs)
The world's clearest freshwater springs, with the only place you'll find clearer water being under the Ross Shelf in Antarctica! A short walk from the carpark will take you to a viewing platform, where you can use the periscope to take in the view below, clear, and brilliant blue.  Other short walks around the immediate area are steeped in the region's history. Make the time.

Wainui Falls
Roughly a 30 minute walk from the carpark, including crossing a locally famous swing-bridge, will take you to Wainui Falls. ​Take a picnic, your swimsuit, and your comfortable walking shoes... chances are you'll hear the thundering falls before you see them! Native flora and fauna, bird song, and breathtaking scenery.

Tame Eels at Anatoki Salmon
Visit and feed the tame eels at Anatoki Salmon , visit their petting zoo, or catch your own salmon - you can even have it smoked to take home!
All within quarter of an hour's drive from Pohara beach, this is a great and unique local attraction.
